Suzanne Sommer, OHNP, ANP
Personal Profile:
Suzanne is a very familiar face at Avenue Family Practice. She is Dr. Sommer's wife of 36 years. They have 3 adult daughters: a midwife, an attorney, and the "baby" who is working on her master's degree in recreation. She loves to travel, is a gourmet cook, grows blueberries and basil and carnivorous plants, and enjoys a good murder mystery now and again.
Professional History:
Suzanne received her RN from Kaiser Foundation School of Nursing, her BS in Psychology from Mills College, and her MSN and NP degrees from UCSF. She is a Nurse Practitioner with a certification in Adult Medicine (age 14 and up), with specialty training in Occupational Health. She enjoys working with women across the life span. She is also the Medical Practice Manager.
